I found some fun and helpful resources for studying sonnet 29!
1. This article looks interesting! It addresses the theme of depression in Shakespeare's sonnet 29.
2. For the informal online source, I found my high school favorite for interpreting difficult texts. Sparknotes wrote a version of Sonnet 29 in modern text that helps readers understand what Shakespeare meant.
3. These middle schoolers may be amateur actors/actresses but they do create a new interpretation of Sonnet 29 that is interesting to think about. Perhaps the happiness that comes from love isn't always for another person.
4. My roommates and I discussed sonnet 29 together. It was fun to talk about how the themes of the sonnet can apply to us today. We also decided to read it to the sounds of Beethoven's moonlight sonata, which helped set the mood of the poem.
